Sunday classes meet weekly all year long. You will never be put on the spot or asked to read in this class. Just come and listen or participate as you desire. Our midweek classes are offered between September and May. You can check our online calendar to see when there are scheduled days off for various classes (especially around holidays). Tuesdays at 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall
Taught by Pastor Sellnow
Christians will face the temptation of turning away from Christ and the Christian faith in search of something else that is not outlawed, looked down on, or seemingly easier to follow. The book of Hebrews was written to urge people not to abandon their faith in Christ. Some had already fallen away; others were in danger of doing so, but the author urged, “Don’t.” And then he told them why not, as in beautiful fashion and with intense detail he showed the supremacy of Christ and the Christian faith. With broad and beautiful strokes, he painted the sweeping design of the Old Testament, showing how its fulfillment was found in the person and work of Christ. Still today this New Testament book of the Bible picks the child of God up when discouraged and provides him with incentive to travel upward to the eternal home.
Book study
Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall
Taught by Pastor Jacboson
In this class we will study the Christian Doctrine book God So Loved the World. This is a book used by our WELS college of ministry, Martin Luther College. In it you will dig deep into the Scriptures to better understand God’s Word in all of their rich beauty and depth. Class participants may join at any time and catch up on reading. Each week we’ll cover about 11 pages and go through a study guide together.
“That you may believe.”
Fridays at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall
Taught by Pastor Wagenknecht
John’s Gospel emphasizes believing in Jesus as the Christ and God’s Son for eternal life. You see this emphasis in the book’s most famous verse, John 3:16. Jesus is God made flesh.
